1st Birthday - Dawnys Sketch #9

Pink and glitter for my niece's 1st birthday and my 1st entry for the Papertake Weekly Challenge! A couple of die cut teddies with bows to finish off. I printed all these elements (except the teddies) separately from a digikit. I could have layered them all on the screen and printed them assembled but after doing this for other cards I don't like the one dimensional look. I printed the pink background with the white rectangle as one element (this helped with saving ink), the striped paper with the black text on, the oval with a flower on as another element and finally a second flower so I could decoupage it. The papers and flower were from the free June 2007 Digikit by Two Peas In A Bucket.

Sweet Sixteen

I printed the background onto gloss photo paper (240gsm) which is substantial enough for a card. I added some cut out decoupaged elements, ribbon and flat back jewels to finish.

Run Out Of White Card!

So I needed to make a birthday card for a man and horror of horrors the white and cream A4 card is all used up. I was so relieved to have finished all the Christmas cards that I forgot to reorder. As I nearly always resort to white or cream card as a base it was taxing to try something else. In the end I was quite pleased with Chris's card. The background are by Two Peas In a Bucket as is the label. I added the text in a drawing program. The dark blue card was ribbled to add a different texture.
